IfYouSki.com is offering a week's stay in Chalet du Fornet, Val d'Isere for £599 per person. The price is based on two sharing - a saving of £400 - for departures March 13.

The holiday package includes flights from London Gatwick, transfers to and from Geneva, and chalet board at the Fornet (half-board plus wine). Flights from other UK airports (Birmingham, Bristol or Manchester) are also available but may be at a supplement.

All rooms are ensuite with balcony and the chalet has a living area and dining area with panoramic mountain views. It is conveniently located opposite the Le Fornet Cable Car.

Val d'Isere and Tignes make up the Espace Killy ski region, home to more than 10,000 hectares of snow fields suitable for all levels of skier and snowboarder. Val d'Isere is the venue chosen by the International Ski Federation to stage the first European downhill race in the annual World Cup each December, using the OK trail.

Advanced skiers can try the Solaise bumps run above the resort or the Olympic downhill from Bellevarde (a good first choice as it gets the sun early and accessed by the high speed underground 'Funival' funicular). Later on take off into the powder fields (remember a guide). Otherwise the descents from the Pissaillas glacier or the Tour de Charvet basin runs are equally recommended.
